a bright and hot saturday after rains and threats of floods this week. spending most of the day knitting, catching up on reading after a morning of some laundry and light house cleaning....
a look at 7am saturday sky in kaneohe - this shot taken makai towards kaneohe marine corp base. we're currently under a flash flood watch through tomorrow, so i guess i'll spend what seems to be a damp day, inside catching up on some reading and knitting. i love saturday mornings cause my daughter sleeps in late, my husband is out in the yard early and i have the quiet house pretty much to myself for at least a couple hours....
last week's earthquake and the following power outage has reminded me to keep up on my food storage and to restock on batteries, plus pick up a good lantern....
maybe i can fit in a trip to cosco this morning....
such a muggy overcast sunday! hmmmm, let's see, went to church in the am, did 2 loads of wash, took a nap, and now watching gilmore girls marathon even though we have 5 seasons on dvd....this week will be a busy work week as we start the new school year (which actually started a week and a half ago). trying to kick this annoying slight cold i have - not bad enough to stay home from work, but enough to make you want to just lay around and veg out....
